Hello Netball Fanatics  its Lisa D here (Sandra) ...  So we are now 2 days into the run and it is going amazingly- we all just love "playing" on stage- the 2 hours seem to fly by.  Yesterdays audience were so lively, they were right there in the locker room with us- the '4th wall'  evaporated- commenting all the way through the show- like when your at home watching TV and you start shouting at the set through utter frustration. The writers of 'Shoot 2 Win' were in the house - Big Big BigRespect to Tracey, Jo and Josephine (and Sarah Moore).  They all had huge smiles on their faces and were so proud of our production. We even had some celebrity audience members in the form of BB7's Ashlynn 'you better know yourself little girl!'  and soul sensation Nate James- glad you guys enjoyed it! Of course there were little things that didn't quite go to plan- like the floor being covered in oregano and oranges and someone missing a cue "not mentionning any names ... Beverly" hahaha. So bring your tissues but be prepared for belly laughs as the V.I.P. Crew prepare to 'Shoot 2 Win'. A evening not to be missed.  xx

Well, well here we are. I can't believe that three weeks have gone so quickly and that we go up TONIGHT! I can't wait. For a tech and dress, it wasn't any near as stressful as I'm used too. The show feels great, with the music and the voiceovers and all the hard graft that has been put in. I love being in the VIP crew and now I get to be in it every night for 3 whole weeks. I feel really excited about having an audience there tonight, It will be really good to hear what bits they like and find funny and how what we do affects them. So if you are in tonight, please enjoy and if you are coming along another night, please enjoy that too!!! See you later, Steph/ 'Zowie'

Hey, it's Steph here - aka Zowie, aka Horlicks. Last night was the very first run without scripts and we did it! No prompts, no f*** ups! The whole way through. It was bloody brilliant!. We danced, we sang, we laughed, we cried - oooh it was a real rollcoaster and after our biog day on Monday evening (Big shout out to the boys and thanks for all your help and bravery) this netball team is really coming to life. We have even started to piece together our costumes... oh my god, sooo funny. I love it. So roll on the 9th Sept - coz we is bringing it!!

The Mantra for today is "Fame cost and right here is where you start paying in SWEAT" - well, i felt like a bit of a Sweaty Betty today. A very physical session including a 'whine up yu waist and get on badd' Soca warm up routine, it was carnival all over again (minus the hang over) - look out for the Tina Turner moves. It's great! By the end of the run I'm going to be a size 8!!   Nicky (Mandy) wowed us with her dulcet tones in the VIP Crew's accapella tribute to Robert Nester Marley, yes people we were truly 'Jamming'. The play is really coming together- i cant wait till we open- avoid disappointment and get your tickets NOW!!! P.S Chantelle (jack's) we missed your drunken ass (oh my gosh, can i say that?)   Lisa D (Sandra or Duffas to my friends) x

Wed 28th Aug 2008   Hi all, Estella Daniels here!  I'll be playing Shanequa, the sassy, opinionated survivor, who speaks before she thinks. Rehearsals are going great:  Today, we started the evening with some off stage sound effects - what a multi talented cast we are!!
It's hard work, but every time we come together our stage pictures become weirder, wackier and all the more beautiful.   Oh, and the biscuit munching is purely for research purposes, to allow the creative juices to flow more freely!!!   Peace n love Ex   Estella Daniels

With the rehearsal process underway, I am amazed at how fabulous the ladies of the VIP Crew already are.  They certainly know how to pIay! I have not had this much fun directing in a long time; every minute is a joy.

And I am also extremely impressed how quickly the ladies can "disappear" a family size packet of biscuits.Mind you, they do have an expert biscuit inhaler on the team.

I won't mention any names, but her initials are Estella Daniels.

- Daniel Brennan, Director

The Shoot 2 Win rehearsals are well and truly on their way now, with each of the ladies enjoying each and every moment.  Their first moments can now be caught live, as the video blog was launched today with footage of their first ever read through.  Unfortunately, it's without Lisa, as she was off working on another project when this took place.  Do watch and enjoy!
